Chef and owner Coby Cockburn grew up on a Far North Queensland beach, hunting mud crab, flathead and whatever else the coast would give up — a connection to the ocean that ran deep from the start. Years in some of Australia's finest kitchens and hotels, where oysters were shucked to order and ingredient quality was everything, shaped how he cooks today.
Born from a passion for exceptional food and inspired by a place rich in natural beauty and fresh local produce, our story began long before we opened our doors. Since December 2017, it's been an incredible journey — one shaped by community, creativity and a love of sharing great food with great people: somewhere relaxed yet refined, where you can gather with friends, enjoy warm, genuine service, eat exceptional seafood and drink great local wine.
